Specifications Retro Style Motorcycle Trail Honda CT125

The rumors that have been circulating are true. Yes, Honda finally displayed a powerful retro motorcycle with a trail or off-road style called CT125 at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show (TMS) exhibition. This eccentric motorbike was placed in a corner of the Honda booth where the bottom of the CT125 motorcycle booth was given rocks to strengthen the impression of off-road on the motorbike. Then what about the CT125 specifications?

In my opinion the design of the CT125 is very cool and out of the box. The aura of a retro duck is still present with the lights and speedometer console that are completely round, but also have a strong off-road aura. Friends can see in the tire that uses the semi-trail model, high handlebar, and exhaust that rises high on the right like a dirt bike. The seat itself uses a single model because the back of the seat functions as a rack to carry cargo or goods. Then the front suspension uses a telescopic model that is wrapped with a rubber guard typical of old school trail motorcycles and the rear suspension uses double shock.

For the engine sector, it turns out that the CT125 shares an engine with the C125 Super Cub and Monkey 125. They both use a 124 cc SOHC, 4-stroke, 2-valve, and air-cooled engine. This engine is capable of spewing out minimalist power of 9.65 PS and torque of 10.4 Nm. Indeed the strength is small. However, the main selling point of this product is not in terms of performance, but a unique, long lasting, and historic design because Honda has in the past released a motorbike similar to CT125. Oh yes, although the engine specifications are simple, but the CT125 already uses an injection combustion system. Other contemporary technology available on CT125 is already using front and rear disc brakes complete with a single channel ABS system.

Is CT125 going to be sold in Indonesia? If you see the signs of PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) who later want to sell strange motorcycles such as the C125 Super Cub and Monkey 125, it is not impossible that CT125 in the future will overtake those two siblings for sale in Indonesia. But my friends, don’t expect CT125 to be sold cheaply. Surely the price is quite expensive such as C125 and Monkey 125 which translates above Rp. 50 million. This kind of motorcycle is suitable for collection. Just use it daily.
