Hyundai Imax N Drift Bus Can Drift While Bringing Eight People!

Drifting can be very fun for drifting fans and drifters. If normally drifters can only talk about their experiences while drifting, drifters can now bring lots of people to experience drifting directly. Hyundai Australia is thinking of a unique idea by turning one of the Hyundai’s manufacturing vans into a drifting machine. The result is the Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus.

About the Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus

If we see the drift action using a sedan car like the BMW E36, Nissan Silvia or Toyota AE86 it must have become a very common thing. But what if the drifting was carried out by a minibus based on the Hyundai H1? This seemingly impossible fact has been successfully realized by Hyundai Australia, which created the Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus.

In Indonesia alone, the Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus is better known as the Hyundai H1. This South Korean car manufacturer car manufacturer is indeed a Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) vehicle. For the standard version, this car uses a CRDi Diesel engine which has an engine capacity of 2,500 cc. The engine breathes through the bi-modal exhaust, shouting a voice as fresh as it looks. The differential used was specifically designed as a bend carver. For its own transport capacity, this car can accommodate up to 8 passengers. This car allows all eight passengers who are in this car to experience the actual drfiting experience.

Since Hyundai Australia brought the Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus to the surface, the car immediately became one of the special custom creations that got its inspiration from the soul of the N division, which is the performance division of Hyundai. This car also makes it clear that the Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus is not a production model, but it is also not a car that is used on the highway everyday. They built a fast MPV without removing the multifunctional side. Hyundai Australia said that the Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus was created to show its passion in terms of a pleasant driving experience. Who would have thought, it turns out that the creation of this car was originally inspired by the April Fools joke of the German Hyundai. Unfortunately, Drift Bus is only made one unit and not released to the public.

Investigate a calibaration, it turns out this was once done by Ford and Renault, which produced the Ford Transit Supervan and Renault Espace F1. But unlike the car created by Ford and Renault, Hyundai maintains the eight-passenger configuration on the Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus. The Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus competes at Sydney Motorsport Park, Australia at the World Time Attack Challenge. Proving Hyundai Australia’s plans for a fast and fun car from the N division.

Modified Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus

In order to do drifting, it turns out that the Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus has undergone massive modifications. Modifications are made mainly on the engine part. The standard engine of the Hyundai H1 is replaced by a 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine equipped with Twin Diesel Turbocharger. This engine configuration is claimed to produce 402 hp and maximum torque of 410 lb-ft (equivalent to about 300 kW and 555 Nm).

The large power generated by the engine is transferred directly to the rear wheels with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Not only that, modifications were also made to the suspension sector. The suspension was changed to an electric system. Changes to the braking system must also be made to match the ferocious engine performance.

In addition to the engine, the Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus also experienced changes in the alloy wheels. Now the Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus uses 19-inch alloy wheels made of alloy material. The alloy wheels and performance tires used on the car are the same as those used on the Hyundai i30 N.

Perfect distribution of 50-50 weight, making it easy for the car to get maximum maneuver angles. In order to maintain the performance balance, the legs sector is corrected by N division. The stopping power is increased thanks to the N Performance Brake Package. Hyundai Australia itself claims that this car can accelerate from a speed of 0-100 km per hour in less than 5 seconds.

Because it can be used for drifting, it’s no surprise that the wheels of this Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus will wear out quickly, and just in case a spare tire is needed. But we don’t need to worry about the difficulties of carrying spare tires because Hyundai offers a large enough luggage capacity for this Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus, which is up to 842 liters.

Exterior and Interior of the Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus

The appearance of the Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus looks aggressive thanks to the addition of a splitter, side skirts, diffuser and rear spoiler. The exterior paint itself uses a distinctive blue N Performance Hyundai equipped with black trim and transverse red accents. As a result, this Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus car looks like a competition car.

Then for the interior, treat typical Hyundai Performance N material clearly displayed there. There is a special steering wheel N division complete with a sport seat mix of suede and leather. Drivers and passengers in the front can enjoy sporty front seats with suede and leather cushions, while other passengers in the rear, namely those in the second and third row can enjoy benches that have suede trim and matching leather.
